Zangief enters the Worldwide Fighting Tournament hosted by S.I.N, a subdivision of Shadaloo, to prove to his younger fans that he is still the best fighter due to some of them claiming that martial artists are better. Zangief encounters grappling martial artist Abel and fellow wrestler El Fuerte and battles them, defeating both. Zangief continues on through the tournament and defeats tournament host and S.I.N leader Seth, taking a photo of himself with the defeated Seth as a souvenir for his young fans who admire him greatly for defeating “the bad guy from the TV.”
